Camp Homestead 2019

We are so excited to welcome you all to join us in Texas this September the 6-9 (Labor Day Weekend).  If you have ever wanted to learn the ways of the Homestead life, this is the event of a lifetime.  Where else can you get hands on training with seasoned homesteaders?  This will be GREAT FUN and FELLOWSHIP… Mark your calendars for September 6th-

Special Classes Featured Each Day:

• How to make your own dairy products with raw cows milk (butter, cheeses, yogurt, kefir, and more!)
• Grinding grains and making breads, pastries, cereals, noodles, and more from scratch.
• Shop Class…Simple wood construction projects
• Fire wood basics (all about chopping firewood, splitting, and making fires)
• Leather working
• Basket making
• Wool spinning and knitting
• Gardening
• Canning
• Concocting Herbal remedies
• Survival Skills
• Fishing

Special Evening Events:

• One evening Ladies Tea and encouragement for being a Keeper of the Home, a wife, and a mother. (I will be joining Above Rubies Host, Nancy Campbell and hopefully her daughter Evangeline to Candidly Chat with all the ladies)
• A Manly Men’s meeting to encourage men as husbands and fathers. (Mark and Colin Campbell will be hosting this meeting)
• Young People’s meetings (Young adults will get to meet other people in that season of life to play fun games, fellowship, play music, do square dancing)
• A special speaker will be announced later that will be sure to give some great wisdom about homesteading

Lodging and Food:

• There will be campsites or cabins available depending on your budget.
• Meals can be purchased from the establishment or pot luck dinners can be brought together for those that want to bring their own meals.

Each person will be able to take a total of 5 homesteading classes but everyone will be able to enjoy the evening sessions.  We are excited to see families from near and far get together to learn and meet each other.
