Everyone has a story to tell. Life is like an empty book, and as life unfolds, chapters are added. Most families have photographs that they have taken through the years. It is like a trip down memory lane as you pick up each old photo. You remember all wonderful or funny things that happened. We found a big box full of photos and as we looked at the photos with the children, it started the story telling. Of course there could be a story attached to every photo. Each one was taken on a day that something happened whether it be a monumental event or just every day life as it was when the photo was taken. Even everyday life is a story when you think about it. What was everyday then, is something totally different today. Especially when the children grow and change, life changes in so many ways. Like when my children were very little, they said the cutest things. It is so fun to remember. Sometimes the kids remember stories in a whole different way that you did and it is really neat to see it from their viewpoint. I highly recommend getting out the old photos and sitting down with the family some afternoon and just have fun telling stories. Some of you may find that you enjoy writing those stories down. It is a great legacy to your children to have them. One day when they are out of the house and are raising their own families, they too, will start their own book of life, adding even more chapters. Chapters they can share with their children as well. And your grandchildren will enjoy reading the stories you wrote so long ago of times past. Try this, it is fun. We are having fun writing our stories right now and hope it encourages you to do the same. Life is so full of joy, we are so happy as a family and glad to share that joy with others. It is such a blessing to us. May God bless each of the pages and future chapters to your stories.
