I had my first official Tea Party Blessing here on the homestead!!! It was everything I had hoped for and prayed for.
I would like to share my experience with you today so that it may encourage you to do the same!!!
Tea Party Blessing Recipe:
🫖TEACUPS…China teacups (vintage ones are the best, you can use heirloom ones from grandma, or find them at a local thrift store.)
🫖 SETTING…make a special space in your home wheather it is at your dining or kitchen table, or a shift your couch into a little nook with a few chairs around a coffe table. Keep everyone close so it’s like a little clutch.
🫖 LINENS…find a lace or some sort of beautiful table cloth to put down. I used my daughter’s old childrens size parlor table that is 22 years old and covered it with a crocheted lace table cloth my grandmother made when I was a child. If you have some linen or cloth napkins that would make a very special touch.
🫖 TEA KETTLE…get some sort of tea kettle that you can pour the boiling hot water with, thrift stores often have tea kettles, water boiling kettles, tea pots, or fancy silver tea pots. It’s a really nice touch to have.
🫖 SPOONS…I liked to use old vintagege silver spoons but any spoons will do.
🫖 TEAS… find some different flavors of teas that you could share. Chai, black, green, or herbal teas. That way your guests can pick the tea of their choice. You can put the tea bags in a cute little glass or bowl.
🫖 BIBLE… have your Bible there so that after you open with a prayer you can read all few verses to encourage and bless your loved ones. Maybe plan ahead to find some verses that will be sure to encourage women, with biblical womanhood.
🫖 MUSIC… have some classical music playing softly in the background to make the most of your experience more enjoyable. Have some Hymn books or song books to sing some worships songs together as a part of your tea time.
Directions… set your space up and set your little table with tea cups, napkins, spoons and maybe a vase of flowers. Start your kettle when you know they are on the way in. Play the classical music. Welcome the guests and invite them into your clutch area to sit. Off them tea and pour their water over their tea bags in their cups. Offer honey, sugar, or stevia for sweetening if they like, or cream. Start with a prayer, then open your Bible to share a few passages. Next, ask if they have any praise reports, share around the circle. Offer a plate of refreshments, charcuterie with meats, cheeses, crackers, fruits, veggies and or nuts, maybe some other things like cookies or tarts. Follow up with a couple songs from your song books and then end with a prayer.
I just had my first one and it brought people to tears bc it was so beautiful, so God honoring, it ministers to their hearts and souls to be treated like royalty and served with your very finest you can offer.
I pray this is a blessing to you and encourages you to start some tea party blessings at your home.
