They have given me a copy of this book about 2 months ago or more. I had it sitting there until we started having issues with our cattle and our cow. Boy, that book sure came in handy! It is a wealth of knowledge.
This book is for anyone who is considering having a family milk cow or for the person who already has one. I enjoy the style of writing as well. The author has a very candid perspective while sharing some really vital information YOU NEED TO KNOW.
We have owned a family cow for many years now and I tell you, they are a joy to keep. Having a new calf each year is such a blessing, especially all the milk that goes with freshening! God made a truly amazing creature when he created the milk cow!

This is really all we are missing. The milk cow. We have the garden, chickens, & raise beef, but we’ve never took the leap of having a milk cow. It is a strong subject around here!! This book may give us the confidence we need to take that step. Looks like a good one. Thanks!
What a neat website / store. They have a lot of great products. Dairy milking supplies (cow) all look neat. We have only been milking a few years, so we have been slowly adding to our equipment. Their website makes a great wish book!

Great book! Just what I need before we get a cow. My family came over to this continent in 1650 on a ship called “de Bonte Koe,” which means “The Spotted Cow” (in Dutch). Can’t wait to win this one! 🙂

Oh I have been wishing for this book, we have 2 milk cows that we have had for just over 2 years, Splenda and Sweet Maple. I think they are the best homestead animal one could have. They feed my family, our baby animals (calves, goats and piglets), we raise our hogs on milk, hay and grain, the chickens (dogs and cats too) like the whey from making cheese. They have been a blessing to our family and I thank the Harrison’s for indirectly encouraging us to get a dairy cow. Thanks for a chance to win. I’ve wanted a family cow for years now, but they are so expensive to buy right off. So my source of raw delicious milk comes from my Toggenburg/Alpine goat. I NEVER thought I’d own a goat. But I love this creature. I thank God for her everyday. But someday, I want a milk cow, cause I’ve never been able to make butter yet from my goats milk.
