It's a Girl!!!!  A Heifer!

We just witnessed our new calf (heifer) being born. The children were all watching as the little creature plopped into our world all wet and slimy. What a great experience for them. I got it all on film so I can add it to our spring version of Homesteading for Beginners. We are so excited to share this with everyone. Now we have fresh milk again and I will get my dairy operation in full swing. Making butter, kefir, cheese, yogurt, cream cheese, and many more dairy delights. So exciting! They are both doing very well as you can see in the photo. That is the beauty of having the homestead, you get new adventures every day. Something is being born, or things are being learned every moment. You get to work with creation and with children. It is such a blessing!
